Hardscape

Rodney wears many hats while about the business of The Bumpgate Group. He is the architectural designer for hardscape; manager of the on-site installations; and, in his capacity as founder of RMC Productions, produces unique, museum-quality pottery in his studio located on Bump Gate Road.
A creative brain fuels the engine of his ingenuity; but he also brings a work ethic to the project that seems inexhaustible.
Explaining what drives his commitment to excellence, Rodney says: "My dad gave me a motto that has informed my professional career. It's a simple game plan but one that's worked for me for thirty years. Dad told me that to get the job done efficiently-and done successfully-you must PLAN, ORGANIZE & EXECUTE. Three steps, but three giant steps.
We approach each new project as a challenge. It's exciting to view a blank canvas, and to envision the beautiful transformation of the property when the project's completed. After we work with our Clients to achieve the design scheme, our job is to turn the vision into a masterpiece. First and foremost, The Bumpgate Group is all about the Client."
Randy Myers
Master Landscaper

Randy Myers was born with a green thumb. It's an inherited trait, as the Myers family legacy has its roots in horticulture...you might say a greenhouse was his sandbox as a child. An expert in which plants and trees grow best-and thrive best-in Texas, Randy's selections for planting are beauty-savvy, deer-savvy, soil-savvy, and longevity-savvy. Whether a modest home garden or filling in the grounds of a Texas Hill Country estate, his goal is to achieve the sort of stunning effect that produces a resounding "Wow" from the viewer. During the initial consultation, Randy guides the Client across a vast planting map, explaining the benefit of some plant choices over other less successful varieties. His experience with landscape design runs the gamut. He has lifted giant palm trees over two-story homes (with the help of a crane); up-rooted and transplanted old-growth indigenous plants located on the out-boundaries of ranch properties, into the close-in compound; and, when planning his approach to the landscape, he considers not only the aesthetics (scent, color & form) when planting, but the seasonal aspect of what goes into the ground.

To paraphrase the song: Randall Myers wants to light up your (outdoor) life.
Utilizing state-of-the-art technique and equipment, the choices for outdoor lighting set-up are numerous and varied. Some examples:
(1) Hidden down-lighting to create a nighttime magical effect; (2) Spot lighting for fountains, statuary; (3) Walkway lighting; (4) Fairy lights placed in trees; and (5) Up lighting that illuminates from the ground upwards.
For irrigation projects, Randall uses the newest technology. Timed watering for landscape maintenance guarantees worry-free upkeep from the Client. And The Bumpgate Group makes one more guarantee-should there be a glitch, with either lighting or irrigation, Randall will be on the job to solve the problem.
And last, but not least, is Rosy, our supervising Bullmastiff!
